To infect the spectator with the rhythms of a body, from the rhythm of its breath and its pulse to that of its swaying with the effort of keeping upright, to those of its unembellished gestures and actions and thoughts.
To investigate the human being, the world by means of the human body, this body which we have and which we are, has always been the basis of my work.
The human form as a part of the texture of this world. Texture as a source of understanding and knowledge.
Bringing layers of the body's movements into association, thereby revealing a language of great depth. There is no body which does not contain the mind, the world.
Our cells remember being plankton, lava, light, zebra, gas, trees, grass, maybe rusting iron, a vespa motor. They recognize, they are part of the flowing, the evaporating, freezing, the vibrating, flapping and the exploding of all that is. To let my body sing, whisper, stammer about these things.
To offer myself to the viewer as a means to explore the relationship between human and other beings, the world.
